As part of its conflict prevention and resolution efforts, the Mission monitoring teams regularly monitor the situation in the Security Zone between the two banks of the Dniester/Nistru River. The bridge between Gura Bicului and Bychok, located in the Security Zone, was re-opened in 2017 by Chisinau and Tiraspol under an agreement included in the “Berlin-plus” package of confidence-building measures.
