The OSCE Mission to Moldova-led conference on the re-organization of the public service broadcaster aims to serve as a forum for debates on Teleradio-Moldova’s reform and will bring together representatives from the Moldovan Parliament, the Government, relevant state institutions, the regional public broadcaster Teleradio-Gagauzia, civil society, the donor community and international media experts.

Roland Bless, Principal Adviser to the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, will deliver opening remarks at the conference.

The public broadcaster’s management will introduce a newly-developed business plan on the institution’s re-organization. Media experts from the Deutsche Welle Academy and the European Broadcasting Union will comment on strengths, weaknesses, risks and opportunities of the re-organization plan.

Independent international experts will share best practices and lessons learned from public service broadcasting reforms across Europe. The event will conclude with concrete recommendations for Moldovan public service broadcasting, including the role of the state, civil society and development partners in such reforms.
