About
The purpose of these roundtable meetings is to support the development of local detention-monitoring commissions. They will provide a platform for representatives of local administrations and civil society to discuss the collaboration needed at the local level to establish monitoring commissions.
The meetings will take place in Ungheni on 12 November, Stefan Voda on 19 November, Donduseni on 4 December and Cantemir on 11 December.
This series of roundtable meetings is part of a yearlong project aimed at supporting the development of local monitoring commissions into active and effective torture-prevention and human rights mechanisms at the local level.
