About
This training course will help members of local detention-monitoring commissions and representatives of local authorities gain legal knowledge about their responsibilities and improve their reporting skills and practical skills for monitoring all types of detention places, including police commissariats, penitentiaries and psychiatric hospitals.
On 23 November, participants and trainers will visit a penitentiary in Branesti, as well as a police commissariat and boarding school for boys with mental disabilities in Orhei.
This will be the final part of a yearlong project aimed at supporting the development of local monitoring commissions into effective torture-prevention and human rights mechanisms at the local level.
